In my estimation, creativity is connected to solving puzzles. While I’m soaking in some rustic inspiration, I’ll let you have fun putting the pieces together for the destination. If you’re a “local”, I’ll bet you’ll figure out the answer faster than you could raft down . . .
. . . the New River – A funny name for one of the oldest rivers in the world.
Local beverages – For some, an acquired taste.
Ben Long frescos – This one, of “The Last Supper” – A surprise discovery for some art aficionados amidst the rural setting..
A place where our Germanic forefathers influenced a region with their art and music.
Story-telling, Blue Grass music, and book signings, all under one roof! (Yes, there is even an Internet station if you really feel a withdrawal coming on.) This place is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
There may not be a ton of restaurants but there is a cheese factory right in town!
Pet-friendly means the “boys” can enjoy hiking some trails.
Speaking of trails . . . there are happy ones to be taken on horses, too.
. . . . And that’s one of my favorite things about this place.
Aaaahhhh! ~ Wanda
